Youth Multilingual Program Specialist – Individualized Learning

About the role

The International Rescue Committee’s Seattle Youth Program is seeking a Youth Multilingual Program Specialist to join the Individualized Learning Team. In this temporary full-time role you will deliver one-on-one and group tutoring for refugee and immigrant middle- and high-school students, helping them catch up academically, improve English proficiency, and integrate into their new schools and communities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide individualized after-school tutoring, virtual group sessions, and summer learning programs for multilingual newcomer students.
• Deliver digital education support to families, assisting with device access and online resources.
• Conduct regular outreach calls with families to gather feedback, ensure tutoring quality, and align with IRC tutoring guidelines.
• Enroll students and families in ILP and multilingual summer programs, maintaining accurate enrollment records.
• Navigate families through IRC systems, offering follow-up support after enrollment.
• Enter and maintain program data in the ETO system.

Required profile

• Passionate, solutions-driven individual committed to supporting refugee and immigrant youth.
• Experience working with multilingual middle- and high-school students in an educational or nonprofit setting.
• Strong communication skills for family outreach and tutoring.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
