Youth Futures Program Intern (Fall 2026, Unpaid)

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a motivated intern to support its Youth Futures Program during the Fall 2026 term. This unpaid position will work directly with refugee, immigrant, and underserved high‑school students at Clarkston High School, providing academic assistance and social‑emotional support.

Key responsibilities

• Support IRC staff in delivering the after‑school program and summer camp.
• Assist with logistics for activities, field trips, and workshops.
• Engage with students to create an enriching academic and social environment.
• Provide general administrative support, including documentation and file maintenance.
• Help high‑school youth with homework, college applications, resume writing, and job searches.
• Compile and update secondary and post‑secondary resources and contacts.
• Plan and prepare for Youth Futures events.
• Build mentoring relationships with youth.
• Enter data into databases and spreadsheets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
