Youth Basketball Development Intern

About the role

The Youth Basketball Development Intern will support the Boston Celtics’ youth programs by creating digital content, assisting with marketing initiatives, and helping deliver on‑court experiences for young participants.

Key responsibilities

• Capture, edit, and assemble digital video content for youth basketball programs.
• Assist in designing and developing marketing materials that promote the programs.
• Brainstorm and pitch creative ideas for events and campaigns.
• Set up and maintain a video content filing system.
• Participate actively on the court and behind the scenes during Jr. Celtics programming.
• Engage with participants of varying ages and skill levels.
• Support in‑game marketing activities.
• Serve as a positive role model and help expand the Jr. Celtics network.

Required profile

• Excellent interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
• Strong technology aptitude and ability to manage time effectively.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Physical ability to lift at least 50 lb and be active on the court.
• Flexible availability, primarily weekends and holiday/school break periods.
• Maintain strict confidentiality.
• Must be a junior or senior undergraduate student, or a graduate student, seeking academic credit.
• Availability to work scheduled home games and events.
