Workers' Compensation Lost Time Adjuster (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a remote Workers' Compensation Lost Time Adjuster to manage the full lifecycle of claims, ensuring timely, cost‑effective resolutions while providing exceptional client service.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end handling of Workers’ Compensation claims, from investigation to resolution.
• Determine compensability and coverage with accuracy.
• Conduct detailed investigations, including interviews and evidence gathering.
• Analyze medical, legal, and employment documentation to guide decisions.
• Manage EDI reporting and ensure CMS Section 111 compliance.
• Develop strategic claim plans for complex, litigated, and catastrophic files.
• Partner with defense counsel to drive effective litigation strategies and control costs.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys.
• Leverage preferred vendors and cost‑containment tools.
• Provide clear reporting to clients and excess carriers.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of Workers’ Compensation claims handling experience.
• Experience with lost‑time claims and compensability analysis.
• Active adjuster license for the required jurisdiction or ability to obtain one.
• Strong knowledge of Workers’ Compensation laws and jurisdictional requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
