Workers Compensation Claims Representative (AZ & TN)

About the role

Sedgwick is hiring a Workers Compensation Claims Representative to analyze lost-time claims on behalf of its clients and determine the benefits due. The role works within service expectations, industry best practices and specific client requirements, and is based in the Blue Ash, OH area with a hybrid schedule for those within commuting distance, or remote for others.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and process claims through action plans, investigating and gathering information to determine the exposure on the claim.
• Negotiate settlements of claims within designated authority.
• Communicate claim activity and processing with the claimant and the client.
• Report claims to the excess carrier and respond to directions in a professional and timely manner.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1+ years of claims management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• AZ and TN licensing preferred.
• Professional certification applicable to the line of business preferred.
• Ability to handle work-related stress, multiple priorities and deadlines, with clear thinking, judgment and discretion.
