Workers Compensation Claims Examiner I (NV Experience Required)

About the role

Sedgwick is hiring a Claims Examiner for Workers Compensation I, working remotely, to analyze workers compensation claims on behalf of its clients and determine the benefits due. The role suits experienced examiners who want to apply their knowledge to adjudicate complex claims while delivering customer-facing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and process claims through well-developed action plans to a timely resolution, investigating and gathering information to determine the exposure on the claim.
• Negotiate settlement of claims within designated authority.
• Communicate claim activity and processing with the claimant and the client.
• Report claims to the excess carrier and respond to requests for direction in a professional and timely manner.

Required profile

• 5 years of claims management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High school diploma or GED; bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Professional certification applicable to the line of business preferred.
• Nevada license required.
• Ability to meet deadlines, with clear and conceptual thinking, good judgement and discretion.
