Remote Claims Adjuster - Liability (GL & BI)

About the role

Sedgwick is hiring a remote Claims Adjuster for liability claims covering all states, with home-state licensing required. The role analyzes complex liability claims to determine benefits due, works with high-exposure claims involving litigation and rehabilitation, keeps claims adjudicated within service expectations and client requirements, identifies subrogation and negotiates settlements.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and process claims through action plans, investigating and gathering information to determine exposure
• Negotiate settlement of claims within designated authority
• Communicate claim activity and processing with the claimant and the client
• Report claims to the excess carrier and respond to directions promptly

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification for the line of business preferred
• 4 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Home-state licensing required; knowledge of all states
• Clear thinking, judgment, problem-solving and analysis, ability to handle stress and multiple priorities, computer keyboarding and travel as required
