Wellness Nurse (LPN or RN)

About the role

Monarch/Brandywine Senior Living is hiring a Wellness Nurse (LPN or RN) for its Brandywine Living facility in Fenwick. Led by the community's Health and Wellness Director (RN), the nurse provides direct nursing care to residents with an emphasis on holistic wellness and helps supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of Certified Nursing Assistants and LPNs. The position is full-time, with part-time and per-diem shifts available.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the health, safety and well-being of all residents
• Assist in training and monitoring of medication administration
• Supervise care staff in line with state regulations and community policies
• Maintain clinical quality assurance according to federal, state and local standards
• Conduct thorough resident assessments
• Promote high-quality service to residents while demonstrating the company's mission

Required profile

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a current LPN or RN license
• At least 2 years' experience in long-term care, assisted living, home health or a hospital setting preferred
• Experience working with residents with Alzheimer's or other related dementias
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and knowledge of federal and state regulations and nursing practice
• Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs and supporting residents
