Caregiver - Senior Living Community

About the role

Monarch/Brandywine Senior Living is hiring a Caregiver in Selbyville who reports to the Health & Wellness Director. This is a non-exempt, hourly position available full-time and part-time, with a salary range of $19.00 to $23.00 per hour. The Caregiver assists residents in all aspects of their daily life as outlined in each resident's care plan.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care such as bathing, dressing, toileting and feeding according to the care plan
• Maintain the safety, comfort, dignity and confidentiality of all residents
• Escort residents to meals and activities
• Make sure assigned residents are clean, neatly dressed and groomed, safe and fed during their shifts
• Document all services provided to assigned residents during each shift
• Report any change in a resident's condition immediately to the supervisor

Required profile

• Certified Nursing Assistant certification
• High school diploma
• Experience working with the elderly population preferred; dementia experience preferred
• Able to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, balance, stoop, kneel and crouch, and to lift or support residents up to 50 lbs using proper body mechanics
