Med Tech (Limited Lay Administration of Medication)

About the role

Monarch Communities is hiring a Med Tech (Limited Lay Administration of Medication) in Selbyville, reporting to the Wellness Director. This is a non-exempt, hourly position paid $23-$24 per hour, with full-time, part-time and per diem availability. Candidates must hold an active CNA and/or HHA certification.

Key responsibilities

• Provide quality care and services to residents and their families, following each resident's care plan.
• Assist with the administration of prescribed medications and help residents administer their own medication, keeping related medical records under the delegation of the Administrator, including supervision of the RN/LPN.
• Complete annual medication training per state requirements and company medication training modules.
• Maintain accurate medical records and written documentation in line with federal, state and certification standards.
• Ensure resident comfort, privacy and dignity, and attend all scheduled in-service training.
• Comply with federal, state and local regulations and community policies, and perform other delegated care tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Active CNA and/or HHA certification.
• Completed the Board of Nursing's LLAM core curriculum and any program-specific modules.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification.
• At least six months of experience working with seniors in assisted living, home health, hospital or long-term care.
• Able to work weekends and to lift or support residents up to 50 lbs using proper body mechanics.
