Weekend shift 4th Setup Machine Operator Floater

About the role

Join Bosch’s Lincolnton Conversion, Customizing and Packaging Center as a Weekend Shift 4th Setup Machine Operator Floater. You will work directly with engineers, bridging the gap between engineering and manufacturing while ensuring machines run smoothly during weekend shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Train and sign off new production associates, providing timely feedback.
• Coordinate with the shift coordinator to keep all machines operating and escalate deviations.
• Load, unload, operate, adjust, change‑over, maintain multiple machines, set up parameters and conduct quality checks.
• Perform cleaning, 5S activities, and assist in troubleshooting and maintenance, including work in confined spaces.
• Communicate with Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality and other related departments.
• Provide coverage for absences across different areas and adapt to shift changes as needed.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED; technical or vocational schooling is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in metalworking manufacturing, preferably cutting‑tools production.
• Experience with HMI/CNC interfaces and robot‑assisted equipment.
• Ability to stand, be mobile for 8‑12 hours and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Comfortable working in confined spaces and following standard operating procedures.
