Water Restoration Technician

About the role

ServiceMaster All Care Restoration is hiring a full-time Water Restoration Technician in Peoria. The technician monitors, inspects and completes water restoration jobs, including drying, demolition and other restoration activities, and prepares documentation to support insurance reimbursement.

Key responsibilities

• Retrieve work orders, check routes, load equipment and supplies on the truck and arrive at the job site
• Complete assigned jobs following company processes with quality control, including water extraction, pack-out of contents, removal and disposal of non-salvageable materials, and light construction and demolition as directed by the supervisor
• Adjust the drying plan daily based on meter readings and monitor assigned residential and/or commercial jobs
• Inspect completed jobs, obtain customer signatures and request payment when necessary
• Resolve customer issues and communicate job activities with the supervisor and key staff
• Prepare notes, photos and documents according to company policy to support insurance reimbursement
• Report equipment malfunctions or damage to the supervisor

Required profile

• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
• Good verbal and written communication and customer service skills
• Ability to prioritize activities and meet deadlines
• Willingness to report on time in a clean, complete uniform
• Physical ability to lift up to 70 pounds, stand and walk for long periods, and use respirators that seal to the face
• Certifications are not required but preferred: WTR (Water Damage Restoration Technician) and ASD (Applied Structural Drying Technician)

Required skills

• Experience in the restoration or construction industry is not required but preferred
• Experience using mobile software to enter data
• Able to read and follow product label instructions
