Warehouse Operations Manager

About the role

Albertsons Companies is seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager to lead a dynamic warehouse team in a fast‑paced grocery wholesale environment. You will be responsible for driving operational excellence, safety, and productivity while supporting the company’s commitment to great service and customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and supervise warehouse personnel to achieve measurable goals.
• Maintain accuracy across all warehouse operations and ensure compliance with OSHA, USDA, HAACP, FDA, DEA, EPA, and other safety regulations.
• Establish and monitor a safe, sanitary work environment in line with government and company policies.
• Document all warehouse activities and personnel actions accurately.
• Train and develop supervisors, identifying high‑potential talent.
• Facilitate effective interaction between the distribution center and other departments.
• Implement best practices for inventory management using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Manage personnel productivity and adapt to temperature ranges down to –20 °C.

Required profile

• High school diploma; college degree strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of distribution and warehouse experience in the grocery wholesale industry.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, USDA, HAACP, FDA, DEA, EPA regulations and food‑safety standards.
• Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems and engineered labor standards.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred for leadership effectiveness.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills.
