Warehouse Associate Part Time Flex - 3rd Shift

About the role

Cardinal Health's Warehouse Operations team handles materials handling and product distribution, including receiving, storage and shipment of goods. This part-time, flexible 3rd-shift position (1:00am-8:30am, Sunday to Friday) works in the inbound section, receiving products, and ships products in the outbound section. It is open to current employees and pays $24.00 per hour, including a shift differential.

Key responsibilities

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures to process orders: pick, quality control checks, sorting, consolidating freight, building and wrapping pallets, packing, loading and preparing orders for shipment.
• Pick large case items with material handling equipment or small items and place them on designated carts.
• Use the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to check in and send out products.
• Drive material handling equipment such as order pickers, forklifts, reach trucks, turret trucks, pallet jacks and walkie riders.
• Complete housekeeping and inventory control tasks and keep the work area clean and safe.
• Take part in associate meetings, solve routine problems and refer complex issues to the supervisor.
• Work overtime with little or no advance notice and follow OSHA standards and site safety rules, including wearing required PPE.

Required profile

• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights of 20-30 feet regularly.
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
• Previous material handling equipment experience preferred; RF scanner and/or voice-pick experience highly preferred.
• Basic proficiency in English, including reading and writing.
• Ability to work independently or in a team, adapt to changing priorities and meet performance standards in a fast-paced environment.
