About the role

The Classroom Technology Support Technician provides frontline, hands‑on support for classroom technology across multiple university facilities. This temporary, student‑focused role is ideal for reliable, tech‑savvy individuals who can assist faculty and instructors during live classroom sessions.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to in‑class technology issues during scheduled hours.
• Troubleshoot common classroom equipment such as projectors, PCs, microphones, and display systems.
• Assist instructors with operating AV or computing equipment.
• Perform basic checks of classroom tech setups before and between classes.
• Escalate unresolved problems to full‑time support staff.
• Document incidents and support activities using reporting tools.
• Provide front‑office reception support and assist with faculty computer setups.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.
• Comfortable entering active classrooms and providing real‑time support.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic familiarity with computers and AV equipment is helpful but not required.
• Ability to learn new technical knowledge quickly through training.
• Available to work at least one opening shift per week.
