About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Visiting Student to support the 12th Street Health and Wellness Clinic. This position fulfills a curricular requirement for students enrolled in an affiliated program and provides hands‑on experience in a free‑clinic setting.

Key responsibilities

Volunteer at the 12th Street Health and Wellness Clinic, assisting with patient intake and basic administrative tasks.
Support clinical staff by preparing examination rooms and maintaining a clean environment.
Provide courteous service to patients, helping them navigate clinic resources.
Document interactions as required by clinic protocols.

Required profile

Current enrollment in an active academic program partnered with UAMS.
Affiliation with the UAMS 12th Street Health and Wellness Center.
Ability to work onsite at the clinic during scheduled hours.
