Visiting Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor & Program Leader

About the role

Northeastern University’s Bouvé College of Health Sciences and Khoury College of Computer Sciences seek a full‑time visiting Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor to lead the MS in Health Informatics program. The role combines faculty teaching with program‑director responsibilities, supporting interdisciplinary curriculum design and strategic oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Teach courses and participate in departmental, college, and university service.
• Develop and maintain a strategic plan for the MSHI program, ensuring curriculum relevance and alignment with accreditation standards.
• Coordinate faculty recruitment, student admissions, and partnerships with healthcare systems, including global campus extensions.
• Manage program administration, advise students, liaise with university offices, and oversee enrollment projections and budgeting.

Required profile

• Terminal degree (or enrollment in a terminal‑degree program) at appointment start.
• Minimum ten years of experience in the healthcare ecosystem.
• At least five years of higher‑education teaching experience.
• Strong communication, project‑management, and collaborative abilities.
