Virtual CIO / Solutions Architect (Azure & SharePoint)

About the role

In‑Telecom is looking for a Virtual CIO (vCIO) who will also act as a Solutions Architect. The role blends executive‑level IT advisory with hands‑on presales design, focusing on Microsoft Azure and SharePoint solutions for SMB and mid‑market clients. You will work closely with Customer Success Managers to align technology investments with business goals and drive long‑term growth.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with CSMs to create multi‑year technology roadmaps, budget forecasts, and governance frameworks.
• Conduct infrastructure assessments and recommend optimization strategies.
• Prepare Quarterly Business Reviews and executive updates for clients.
• Design, scope, and price Azure solutions, including migrations, IaaS/PaaS workloads, identity, security, backup, and cost optimization.
• Lead SharePoint Online architecture, migrations, governance, permissions, and workflow integration with Microsoft 365.
• Create technical proposals, statements of work, and proof‑of‑concept deployments.
• Support CSMs with training on Azure and SharePoint opportunities.

Required profile

• 7+ years of progressive experience in MSP, consulting, vCIO, or solutions architecture roles.
• Strong consultative communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for executives.
• Experience guiding clients through compliance frameworks such as CMMC, HIPAA, NIST, or SOC 2.

Required skills

• Microsoft Azure solution design (VMs, networking, storage, AD/Entra, security, governance, IaaS, PaaS).
• SharePoint Online architecture, migration, site collections, permissions, workflows, and Microsoft 365 integration.
• Infrastructure, networking, VoIP, managed services, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
• Cost optimization, backup/recovery planning, and cloud governance.
