Violence Prevention Coordinator

About the role

The Violence Prevention Coordinator supports LVHN’s Trauma Program by providing community outreach, education, and direct assistance to victims of violence. This position works closely with violence interrupters, clinical teams, and community partners to ensure victims receive comprehensive emotional, social, medical, and psychological support.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate prevention education and training for LVHN and its trauma affiliates to support accreditation and re‑accreditation.
• Partner with Marketing, EMS, Interfacility Liaisons, and Development to align outreach and marketing efforts.
• Serve as liaison between violence interrupters and key personnel, including the Promise Neighborhood of Lehigh Valley.
• Evaluate programs and presentations for efficacy, efficiency, quality, and relevance.
• Develop new injury‑prevention programs based on community needs and injury trends.
• Collaborate with trauma clinical and care‑coordination teams to connect victims with appropriate resources before discharge.
• Participate in trauma operations and research teams, providing project updates and ensuring patient needs are met.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Education or a related field.
• At least 2 years of community or health‑care experience.
• Passionate about making a positive change in the community and knowledgeable about violence‑prevention initiatives.
