Vice President, Supply Chain

About the role

VersaDesk is seeking a hands‑on, strategic Vice President of Supply Chain to lead all manufacturing operations. You will own the end‑to‑end production lifecycle, from procurement through assembly and shipping, driving scale, efficiency, quality, and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring schedules are met safely, on time, and within budget.
• Develop and execute production strategies aligned with short‑term and long‑term revenue goals.
• Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous‑improvement initiatives to reduce waste and lower costs.
• Maintain rigorous quality‑control standards and enforce OSHA compliance.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate plant managers, supervisors, and floor staff; establish KPIs and performance metrics.
• Manage procurement, inventory levels, and vendor negotiations to balance order fulfillment with cost control.

Required profile

• 10+ years progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations, including at least 5 years in an executive or senior management role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration or related field; Master’s/MBA a plus.
• Deep knowledge of small‑to‑mid‑size manufacturing environments, equipment maintenance, and supply‑chain logistics.
• Strong financial acumen and ability to manage departmental budgets.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP/MRP software.
• Experience using manufacturing execution systems (MES).
