Vice President of Strategy

About the role

The Indiana Sports Corp is seeking a Vice President of Strategy to turn its 2050 Vision into actionable initiatives, working closely with the President, leadership team, Board, and a broad network of stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead implementation and evolution of the 2050 Vision, translating long‑range strategy into clear priorities, initiatives, milestones, and success measures.
• Advise senior leadership on enterprise‑wide strategic priorities and opportunities.
• Create structure and discipline to move cross‑functional initiatives from concept to execution.
• Develop frameworks and analyses for decisions on new opportunities, partnerships, and investments.
• Coordinate work across internal teams and external partners while minimizing bureaucracy.
• Establish meaningful progress metrics and communicate results to leadership, the Board, and key partners.
• Anticipate industry changes and identify opportunities for Indiana to lead in sports.
• Build alignment across a broad ecosystem of sports organizations, business leaders, government, academia, and community partners.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in strategy, business operations, consulting, sports, entertainment, major events, economic development, or similar complex‑stakeholder environments.
• Proven track record of turning ideas into executable plans.
• Strong executive presence, communication skills, and ability to work with Boards and senior executives.
• Demonstrated judgment and ability to clarify complex issues.
• Collaborative, low‑ego leadership style with genuine curiosity about the evolving business of sports.
• Experience in a collaborative sports, events, civic, or community ecosystem is highly relevant.
