Vice President, Direct Origination – Equipment Finance (Southeast)

About the role

The Vice President, Direct Origination will lead equipment finance sales across the Southeast region, working remotely to cover a national territory. The role focuses on prospecting, structuring deals, and managing relationships with CFOs of mid‑market companies.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect daily for new clients and maintain a scheduled calling program targeting CFOs of companies with $100MM+ revenue.
• Structure equipment transactions ranging from $1MM to $50MM, manage existing relationships, and oversee the full financing lifecycle in Salesforce.com.
• Identify competitive threats and new market opportunities to maximize portfolio volume and earnings.
• Coordinate with marketing to execute database initiatives and generate new business opportunities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5+ years of successful equipment finance sales experience.
• BA/BS degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
• Strong understanding of the equipment finance marketplace and ability to price and structure complex transactions.
• High energy, strong communication skills, and ability to thrive in fast‑paced environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Salesforce.com.
• Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
• Experience using loan pricing models for equipment and vehicle financing.
