Vice President, Design & Architecture

About the role

The Vice President of Design & Architecture leads the design vision and delivery for luxury residential, private club, and mixed‑use projects, overseeing all phases from concept to market‑ready product.

Key responsibilities

• Set design vision and narrative aligned with brand, site, and target buyer, and develop product programs with development, sales, and finance teams.
• Identify, vet, and manage architects, interior designers, landscape architects and specialty consultants; run design meetings and hold consultants to deliverables through schematic, design development and construction documents.
• Direct massing, facades, interiors, finishes, landscape, and site amenities while maintaining design standards across the portfolio.
• Manage design budgets, consultant fees, and approvals; partner with construction on value engineering and oversee mockups, samples and punch lists.
• Provide design inputs for sales and marketing collateral, oversee buyer customization programs, and carry the product through launch to turnover.
• Build and lead an internal design team, present recommendations to executives and investors, and codify lessons learned into repeatable standards.

Required profile

• 12+ years in architecture, interiors or design management, including 7+ years on the owner/developer side in luxury residential.
• Proven track record delivering high‑end condominium, branded residence or club/resort projects from concept through closing.
• Experience directing internationally recognized architects and designers and understanding how design drives pricing and buyer experience.
• Degree in architecture, interior design or related field; licensure a plus.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of construction, cost management, zoning and offering plan requirements.
• Exceptional design taste combined with commercial discipline.
• Excellent presentation, negotiation and communication abilities with owners, investors and brand partners.
