Senior UX Researcher – Government Solutions

About the role

We are looking for a senior UX researcher who will lead research activities for public safety, civilian, and vital core product portfolios within our Government Solutions unit. The role blends deep user‑research expertise with hands‑on design support when business priorities demand additional capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Lead user research across Public Safety, Civilian, and Vital Core products, including interviews, usability studies, field research, journey mapping and product validation.
• Translate findings into actionable product recommendations, design improvements and future research strategies.
• Partner with UX designers, product managers, engineers, customer success and sales to ensure user feedback informs design and development.
• Create research documentation, analysis outputs, wireframes, workflows, prototypes and interaction designs when design capacity is needed.
• Mentor junior researchers and contribute to accessibility reviews, VPAT and ACR creation.

Required profile

• 6‑8 years of experience in user research, UX or product design.
• Proven ability to apply multiple research techniques and select appropriate methods for different contexts.
• Strong communication skills to present insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in psychology, HCI, design or related field (preferred but not required).

Required skills

• Research tools such as FullStory, Crazy Egg and Userlytics.
• Knowledge of digital accessibility standards (WCAG) and experience with VPATs and Accessibility Conformance Reports.
• Ability to produce wireframes, workflows, prototypes or interaction designs.

• Base salary range $107,646 – $171,954 (US) with annual incentive bonus.
