Vice President, Cross-Asset Structuring

About the role

We are seeking a Vice President to join Santander's Cross‑Asset Structuring team. The role focuses on designing, developing, and delivering innovative structured notes and OTC derivatives across equities, fixed income, FX, and commodities for institutional investors and other client segments.

Key responsibilities

• Structure securitized investment products, including structured notes and OTC derivatives across asset classes.
• Partner with Sales teams to originate, develop, and deliver new product opportunities for clients and the broader franchise.
• Lead the development and implementation of new products and platform capabilities, incorporating legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, funding, capital, and operational considerations.
• Drive automation and enhancement of the structured products issuance platform, integrating pricing, term‑sheet generation, booking, and lifecycle event processing.
• Collaborate closely with Risk, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Technology, and Trading to ensure products meet regulatory and governance frameworks.
• Serve as a product specialist, supporting Sales teams, participating in client meetings, and presenting product solutions and market insights.
• Produce marketing materials, product documentation, and other client‑facing content.

Required profile

• Proven experience in structuring structured notes and OTC derivatives for institutional investors.
• Strong quantitative expertise combined with commercial judgment and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work closely with Sales, Trading, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Technology teams.
• Understanding of regulatory, operational, and risk considerations in multi‑asset product development.
• Excellent communication skills for client presentations and internal collaboration.
