Vice President, Corporate Underwriting & Portfolio Management

About the role

Santander seeks a Vice President to lead underwriting, structuring and portfolio management for corporate credit facilities. The role combines credit analysis, deal execution and ongoing portfolio oversight within a technology‑driven financial services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead underwriting and structuring of new and renewal corporate loan transactions, preparing credit approval memos in line with bank policy.
• Perform servicing reviews, monitor collateral, loan pricing, credit performance and manage risk across the assigned portfolio.
• Prepare and present loan documentation, financial statement analysis, and risk grading reports.
• Support special projects, reporting on past‑due loans, portfolio profitability and market trend analysis.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in financial analysis, underwriting and portfolio management of corporate loans.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Strong analytical abilities, excellent written and verbal communication, and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Financial modeling and credit analysis expertise.
• Knowledge of loan structuring, covenant negotiation and risk assessment.
