Vice President, Corporate Communications

About the role

The Vice President, Corporate Communications leads Alcon’s global communications strategy, strengthening corporate reputation and supporting commercial growth. As a member of the Global Communications Leadership Team, this executive partners with business leaders to ensure aligned, impactful messaging across all stakeholder groups.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive global communications strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Shape and steward Alcon’s corporate narrative for key audiences.
• Lead enterprise communications across corporate, public relations, internal, product, and media relations.
• Monitor emerging issues, reputational risks and devise proactive response strategies.
• Lead global public relations strategy, media engagement, and spokesperson readiness.
• Plan and manage crisis communications in partnership with Legal and Regulatory Affairs.
• Develop communications for new product introductions, clinical milestones, and regulatory approvals.
• Partner with franchise, commercial excellence, and marketing leaders to maximize product awareness and adoption.

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading global corporate communications and public relations.
• Proven ability to act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership.
• Strong track record in reputation management and crisis communications.
• Experience collaborating with cross‑functional business leaders to align communications with commercial priorities.
