Veterinary Technician – Kennels/Laundry/Shared Services

About the role

The Laundry/Kennel Technician supports daily operations within LSU's Veterinary Teaching Hospital. You will maintain kennel cleanliness, manage laundry processes, and assist with overall hygiene in patient care areas.

Key responsibilities

• Wash, distribute, and manage towels, fleeces, and other linens.
• Clean cages, treatment areas, and exam rooms; restock supplies.
• Assist with developing cleaning schedules, fogging, and cage door washing.
• Provide coverage for service technicians, including patient restraint, sample collection, and diagnostic coordination.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate orders with supply personnel.
• Work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays; support blood bank on‑call and emergency response as needed.

Required profile

• Active license with the Louisiana Board of Veterinary Medicine as a Registered Veterinary Technician.
• Attention to detail, reliability, and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
• Basic knowledge of specialized equipment used across service areas.
