Large Animal Client Services Representative

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Receptionist for the Equine & Farm Animal Clinic at LSU Veterinary Medicine. The role ensures smooth clinic operations by handling administrative tasks and delivering exceptional service to clients and referring veterinarians.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain clear communication with clinicians, staff, students, and clients, acting as liaison for the Large Animal veterinary team.
• Perform emergency triage, prioritize cases, and schedule surgical and medical appointments.
• Manage billing, collections, cash handling, and verify documentation and deposits.
• Maintain the EMR system, update patient and client records, and request referral documentation.
• Provide excellent phone etiquette and customer service, and support routine receptionist duties.

Required profile

• High School Diploma.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a medical or veterinary setting.
• Bilingual or multilingual communication skills are preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Experience with billing and cash handling procedures.
• Ability to use appointment scheduling software.
