Vehicle Control Officer

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Vehicle Control Officer to support the Space Force Range Contract. The role covers 112 GSA vehicles and 32 GFE/Special Purpose Vehicles, handling maintenance, repairs, investigations, recalls and fleet records.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, schedule and track preventative and unscheduled maintenance, and inform vehicle monitors of assets due to maintenance.
• Answer daily questions from vehicle monitors and supervisors about vehicles and equipment.
• Coordinate repairs after accidents or damage, oversee accident investigation paperwork, notify company leadership and GSA of incidents, and submit accident repair reports.
• Review vehicle recalls and resolve them as necessary.
• Coordinate vehicle turn-ins and swap-outs.
• Perform bi-annual physical audits and inventories of vehicles (GSA and GFE/SPV) and their documentation.
• Generate AF 601 forms for Base Supply to update authorization levels, review AF 1800s monthly, and ensure compliance with California Clean Truck initiatives (inspections, diagnostic testing and payments).

Required profile

• Two years of experience in fleet management.
• Experience with property management and/or logistics support.
• High school diploma.

Required skills

• Experience with Maximo software is preferred.

What we offer

• Annual starting salary of $80,000 to $85,000, depending on geography, market, skills, education and experience.
