Site Head, Kentucky Distribution Center (Sr. Director)

About the role

The Kentucky Distribution Center (KDC) Site Head leads all operational teams in Louisville and serves as the face of Genentech in the local community. The role is accountable for the safe, cost-effective and cGMP-compliant operation of the primary US distribution centre, working with Customer Operations, US Commercial, Quality, Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) and global network leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Set the strategic vision and long-range business strategy for commercial finished goods and site assets, aligned with the global network.
• Direct site operations including staffing, facilities, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, technology and SHE compliance.
• Represent Genentech locally, driving community initiatives, government affairs and media representation.
• Ensure cGMP, SOP and Roche Quality compliance while meeting operational, financial and OTIF delivery targets.
• Maintain robust business continuity and risk mitigation plans.
• Partner with Customer Operations, Hillsboro distribution leadership and Commercial stakeholders to improve delivery and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Materials Management, Packaging, Life Sciences or a related field.
• Proven track record as a site head in distribution, warehouse or manufacturing operations in the pharmaceutical, biotech or healthcare distribution space.
• 15+ years of total supply chain/distribution experience preferred, with 10-12+ years of relevant leadership experience, including cold-chain management.
• Experience developing long-range strategies, business continuity planning and risk mitigation.
• Background in continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma preferred) and change leadership.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of cGMP standards and pharmaceutical distribution regulations.
• Warehousing, facilities management and ERP or integrated inventory management systems.
• Ability to influence cross-functional executives and build diverse teams.

What we offer

• Salary range of $153,000 - $284,200 depending on experience, qualifications and location.
• A discretionary annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
