Van Driver – Part‑Time

About the role

The Van Driver supports the daily programming of the Child Development and Out of School Time Program by transporting children safely from school to the after‑school program.

Key responsibilities

• Transport children from school to the after‑school program and manage pick‑ups and drop‑offs.
• Perform routine upkeep of the YMCA van, including refueling, basic checks and interior cleaning.
• Maintain program attendance records after driving duties and greet families entering the facility.

Required profile

• Good driving record with a 7D or school bus license.
• At least 21 years old and hold a driver’s license for a minimum of three years.
• First Aid and CPR certifications within six months of employment.
• Commitment to YMCA philosophy and ability to communicate effectively with staff and families.

Required skills

• 7D or school bus driving license
• Valid driver’s license (3+ years)
• First Aid certification
• CPR certification
