Manager, Materials Management

About the role

Lead the cross‑functional planning process for material supply, inventory control and production scheduling in a global semiconductor equipment company.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage integrated planning that includes make‑vs‑buy decisions, capacity planning, scheduling and inventory cost control.
• Analyze demand, forecasts and historical usage to create build‑to‑order and build‑to‑forecast plans.
• Coordinate with business teams to devise cost‑effective production strategies supporting customer demand.
• Implement best practices for inventory forecasting, purchasing and material control systems.
• Oversee production scheduling, monitor inventories and track progress to ensure on‑time delivery.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts in partnership with Finance and drive corrective actions for discrepancies.
• Develop sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance scorecards.
• Represent the materials organization on corporate task‑force teams and manage the department budget.
