VA Claims Specialist

About the role

The VA Claims Specialist investigates health‑insurance claims and bills to ensure timely resolution for Veterans' Affairs and its affiliates. You will follow up on unresolved claims and facilitate payment, working from a remote home office.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate health‑insurance claims and bills for Veterans' Affairs.
• Follow up on unresolved claims and coordinate payment processing.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate status updates to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work on multiple computer screens and software applications simultaneously.
• Strong performance in a fast‑paced environment with productivity metrics.
• Organized multitasker with critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Investigative mindset and experience in a professional office setting.
• General understanding of insurance billing and experience appealing denied health claims (a plus).
