Utility Clerk

About the role

Meijer is hiring an entry-level Utility Clerk in Franklin. As a Courtesy Team Member, you will gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to additional store services, products and customer service. The role involves working with the service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas, and with several store departments.

Key responsibilities

• Ferry shopping carts from outside the store back into the store
• Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn and inside the store
• Safely operate snow removal equipment to clear snow
• Handle perishable and salvage returns
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning
• Work with the service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas
• Support the departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral

Required profile

• Highly organized with a keen eye for detail
• Great listening and communication skills
• Able to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling product or using equipment
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
