Meat Food Clerk

About the role

Meijer is looking for a Meat Food Clerk in Franklin. The role provides customers with exceptional product knowledge, efficient service and a friendly attitude, and covers a range of retail tasks related to product, customer service and merchandising. The position applies to the Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli and Grocery departments.

Key responsibilities

• Build rapport with customers and respond to their questions effectively.
• Display a friendly, outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language.
• Stock product and maintain product displays according to merchandising standards.
• Use technology to complete activities and tasks.
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures to ensure quality service and products.

Required profile

• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Strong listening and communication skills, face-to-face and virtually.
• Willingness to learn or existing familiarity with job-specific technology.
• Problem-solving ability and ability to follow procedures efficiently.
• Ability to stay calm in a fast-paced environment and to work with customers consistently.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist, and to stand for long periods.
