Urologic Oncology Physician – Academic Position

About the role

Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and LSU Health Sciences Center are seeking a fellowship‑trained Urologic Oncologist to join their established academic urology practice. The position blends academic resources, resident education, research opportunities, and multidisciplinary collaboration with a high‑volume private‑practice model focused on urologic oncology.

Key responsibilities

• Perform a high‑volume surgical practice including open and robotic urologic oncology cases across multiple facilities.
• Provide dedicated operative block time and manage a robust patient population.
• Participate in resident operative training and multidisciplinary cancer care.
• Develop and expand a predominantly urologic oncology‑focused practice.

Required profile

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Urology and eligible for a Louisiana medical license.
• Completion of an ACGME‑accredited Urology residency and a Urologic Oncology fellowship (two‑year SUO fellowship preferred but not required).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Da Vinci Xi robotic platform.
• Robotic and open urologic oncology surgical techniques.

• Starting compensation of $600,000 with production incentives that can exceed $800,000 in the first year.
