Upper Extremities Sales Associate - Los Angeles

About the role

Stryker is hiring a field-based Upper Extremities Sales Associate in Los Angeles. The associate partners with the area's Sales Representatives to learn the medical device industry and the Upper Extremities business, then contributes to growth in the assigned territory. The role involves attending surgeries, educating clinicians and supporting the sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Attend surgeries using Stryker Upper Extremities products, ensuring availability and instructing surgeons on product use.
• Educate doctors, nurses and staff on proper use, maintenance, product updates and portfolio changes.
• Identify sales opportunities with the Sales Representative, develop responses to new prospects and build customer relationships.
• Tailor promotional messages after product training, advise on product selection and answer questions about functionality and competition.
• Perform field calls, help implement new sales plans and marketing strategies, and meet and exceed business targets (quotas).
• Act as primary backup contact for the Sales Representative, support inventory management and PO processing, and resolve account problems.
• Stay current on industry, customer and competitive trends, attend sales and professional association meetings outside regular hours, and follow AdvaMed compliance and company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, or an Associate's degree or medical certification (CST, PT, CPT, etc.) with at least 2 years of related experience, or a high school diploma with at least 4 years of related experience, or 4 years of active-duty military service.
• Preferred: demonstrated success in sales, military service, leadership, athletics or performance-based environments; healthcare or clinical exposure; a Bachelor's in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Biology, Healthcare Administration, Business or a related field; a relevant internship or sales/healthcare experience.
