Underwriting Internship – Summer 2027 (Boston)

About the role

As an Underwriting Intern at Zurich, you will be an integral part of the Underwriting organization. Guided by experienced professionals and mentors, you will contribute to real projects that support business growth, customer relationships, and risk management strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Learn underwriting fundamentals through mentorship and hands‑on training
• Support business unit financial reporting and analysis
• Assist with preparing financial and operational reports using underwriting and business intelligence tools
• Support pipeline management and underwriting operations activities
• Participate in client, broker, and stakeholder meetings
• Review loss summaries and assist with account analysis
• Gain exposure to customer, broker, and partner relationships within the insurance industry

Required profile

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Business or related field
• Enrolled and will be enrolled in Fall 2027, with two or more years of college coursework (rising Junior or Senior)
• Microsoft Office experience
• Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. indefinitely
• Cumulative GPA at/above 3.0 (preferred)
• Problem‑solving skills in a customer‑focused environment (preferred)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (preferred)
• Analytical and critical thinking abilities (preferred)
