Underground Mining Project Manager (Budgeting & Operations)

About the role

Gatesource HR is recruiting a Project Manager to lead the safe, efficient and cost-effective execution of an underground mining project in the western United States. The role drives daily operations while building the systems, teams and production discipline needed to meet development and/or stoping targets. It also ensures alignment with project schedule, budget and regulatory requirements, and fosters a performance culture based on safety, operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 10+ years of underground mining experience, including leadership roles
• 3-5+ years in a Superintendent, Senior Supervisor or Shift Boss capacity
• Proven track record leading underground mining projects through ramp-up or expansion phases
• Demonstrated ability to deliver against schedule, budget and production targets

Required skills

• Strong understanding of underground mining methods, ground control, ventilation, drill/charge/blast, hauling and backfill (as relevant)
• Working knowledge of mine planning principles and production reconciliation
• Familiarity with underground mobile equipment fleets and their maintenance interface
