About the role
The Unarmed Security Officer ensures a safe environment for patients, visitors, caregivers and hospital property at Florida Weston Hospital. The position works dayshift (5:30 am‑6:00 pm) and may include rotating weekends and holidays.
Key responsibilities
- Patrol internal and external premises, monitor visitor conduct and enforce parking regulations.
- Provide physical restraint and escort services when needed to maintain safety.
- Report safety, security and fire hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Respond promptly to assistance requests from staff, patients and visitors.
Required profile
- Valid Florida Class D driver’s license.
- Good oral and written communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with diverse social, ethnic and religious groups.
Required skills
- Knowledge of traffic, parking regulations and hospital policies.
- Understanding of fire control, evacuation routes and emergency procedures.
