PRN Unarmed Security Officer

About the role

The PRN Unarmed Security Officer provides safety and security for patients, visitors, caregivers, and hospital property at Cleveland Clinic Martin North Hospital. This position works night shifts on weekends, performing patrols and enforcing facility policies.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol internal and external premises with courtesy and good judgment.
• Monitor visitor conduct, verify legitimacy of individuals, and control parking and traffic flows.
• Provide physical restraint and escort services when needed.
• Unlock offices, secure patient valuables, and apply restraining techniques.
• Report safety, security, and fire hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Respond promptly to assistance requests from staff, patients, and visitors.

Required profile

• Valid Florida driver’s license (Class D) and ability to maintain it.
• Good oral and written communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle diverse social, ethnic, and religious groups.
• Preferred: chauffeur license, two years of experience, military or hospital background.
