UHT Receiving Lead

About the role

Saputo, a top 10 global dairy processor, is hiring a UHT Receiving Lead (Production Leadperson) for its 24/7 manufacturing facility. The role provides lead support and is responsible for employee safety and productivity on a designated shift, and ensures production volume is delivered on time while meeting or exceeding quality standards. The pay range is $30.89 - $31.39.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with the supervisory team to assign, lead, review and monitor work, preventing downtime on the assigned shift.
• Make sure team members follow standard operating procedures, including state and federal compliance.
• Inspect products against specifications and direct equipment setup and adjustments.
• Coordinate production run schedules so customer orders are fulfilled with minimal over-runs.
• Complete paperwork such as production and packaging records, cleaning schedules, root cause analysis and enter production data into SAP.
• Support continuous improvement, employee training, change-over and CIP/SIP support, and internal and external audits.
• Support scheduling, backfill vacancies, provide meal and rest breaks, and promote safety programs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent; 1-3 years of equipment operator experience, preferably in dairy or food manufacturing.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, and up to 12 hours per day; the shift is 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM with days off on Thursday and Friday.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and work in a noisy, temperature-changing manufacturing environment with PPE.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; SAP preferred.
• Technical skills to operate and understand equipment controls, touch panels and mechanical operations.
• Strong communication, organization, attention to detail and leadership skills.
