Trial Attorney

About the role

Zurich Insurance is seeking a Trial Attorney to join its Boston office on a hybrid schedule (one day remote per week). The attorney will represent commercial insureds in moderate to high‑complexity General Liability and Commercial Auto personal injury cases.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct initial investigations, legal analysis, and provide advice to insureds.
• Prepare and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Perform legal research using Lexis or Westlaw.
• Manage pre‑trial discovery, hearings, and trials, and handle post‑trial activities as needed.
• Budget case costs and calculate exposure for clients.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor with at least 5 years of insurance litigation experience.
• Active member in good standing with the Massachusetts Bar Association.
• Demonstrated trial and negotiation skills with the ability to work independently.
• Strong analytical, oral and written communication abilities.
