Treasury Management Lead

About the role

The Treasury Management Lead oversees the foundation’s cash flow, banking relationships, investment liquidity, and financial risk, ensuring alignment with the philanthropic mission and financial policies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cash‑flow forecasting, monitoring and optimization to support grantmaking, operations and reserves.
• Develop short‑ and medium‑term liquidity strategies and maintain treasury policies, procedures and controls.
• Serve as primary liaison with banking partners, manage account structures, negotiate fees and evaluate treasury technology solutions.
• Partner with investment teams to manage cash movements, monitor portfolio liquidity and oversee endowment cash portions.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, donor restrictions, regulatory requirements and support audits.
• Supervise a small team of accountants and collaborate across accounting, grants, operations, legal and IT.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; Master’s/MBA preferred.
• 8‑10+ years of progressive treasury or cash‑management experience, preferably in nonprofit or foundation settings.
• Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or CPA is a plus.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking and leadership abilities.

Required skills

• Experience with treasury workstations.
• Proficiency in ERP platforms for cash management.
• Deep understanding of banking, liquidity and financial systems.
