Traveling Safety Manager

About the role

The Traveling Safety Manager will support project teams across the Southeast United States, ensuring safety compliance on heavy‑civil construction sites. This position requires frequent travel to multiple job sites and deep expertise in trenching, excavation, and confined‑space safety.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections, safety assessments, and intervene to resolve safety issues.
• Provide safety training, coordinate safety programs, and oversee compliance with company standards.
• Lead incident, near‑miss, and accident investigations, delivering root‑cause analysis reports.
• Identify hazards, develop mitigation plans, and communicate status updates to leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (preferred) and CHST certification (preferred).
• 3‑5 years of construction safety experience, heavy‑civil preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, U.S. citizenship, and ability to travel 4‑5 days per week.
• OSHA 500, 510, 511 certifications are mandatory.
