Traveling Health and Wellness Nurse Coach (24 Hours)

About the role

Peak Health, a subsidiary of Marsh Agency, offers clinically based lifestyle and behavior change programs led by registered nurses who assess health risks, help employees navigate wellness offerings and coach them toward better health. Peak Health is looking for a Traveling Health and Wellness Nurse Coach in Charlotte, NC, working 24 hours per week (3 days per week).

Key responsibilities

• Travel to assigned client employment sites to provide health evaluations for participants.
• Review the individually completed Health History Questionnaire.
• Review and interpret individual blood lab test results.
• Obtain weight, blood pressure, pulse, body fat or body mass, and fitness level.
• Establish individual goals by recommending improvements to each person's health risk.
• Conduct evaluations by teleconference when no site is available.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Nurse Manager.

Required profile

• Valid registered nursing license for the state(s) where the program operates.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, working vehicle and current personal auto insurance.
• Ability to sit, stand and walk frequently, lift up to 75 lbs, and communicate with people in person and on the phone.
• Able to work all scheduled hours, including overtime, and travel up to 100%.
• Must become a certified health coach within 24 months of hire (fully reimbursed).

Required skills

• Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications.
• Excellent motivational and coaching skills.
