Radiology Physician

About the role

Jupiter Medical Center, ranked #1 for safety, quality and patient satisfaction, is hiring a physician for its radiology practice. The role centers on compassionate, patient-centered care, with patients seen in the office and hospital rounding required.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain timely, accurate and detailed medical records using E Clinical Works (ECW), the center's office-based EMR
• Prescribe medication or therapy when necessary and recommend lifestyle changes to improve quality of life
• Explain medical procedures and test results thoroughly, and give patients a plan of care
• Consult with other doctors about each patient's needs and participate in tumor boards and multi-disciplinary clinics
• Serve on the hospital Medical Staff and related committees when requested
• Work to improve patient satisfaction scores and team goals, and take part in business development and marketing

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD or DO); board certified or board eligible in surgery
• New graduates or experienced physicians are both considered
• Knowledge of computer systems such as ECW and Cerner
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes physically demanding environment, lifting patients and equipment (up to 40 lbs pushing/pulling, 50 lbs carrying/lifting)
• Annual Joint Commission mandatory education, TB/PPD surveillance and maintenance of professional license or certification
