Travel Nurse RN – Med Surg – $1,744/week

About the role

TNAA TotalMed RN is looking for a Registered Nurse specialized in Medical‑Surgical care to join a 13‑week travel assignment in Palestine, Texas. The position offers 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts, with a weekly pay of $1,744.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and prioritize care based on immediate needs.
• Provide bedside care for pre‑ and post‑operative patients, including medication administration and monitoring.
• Perform wound care, change dressings, insert catheters, and start IV therapy.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Educate patients and families about surgical procedures, post‑operative care, and discharge plans.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience in a Med‑Surg setting.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 20 lb routinely and up to 50 lb occasionally.
• Comfort working in a fast‑paced environment with potentially confused or agitated patients.
