Trauma Surgical Technician – Nights (No Call)

About the role

The Trauma Surgical Technician works night shifts to ensure equipment and supplies are ready for endoscopy and surgical procedures. The position involves scrubbing, assisting, and supporting the RN in a fast‑paced operating environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and organize equipment, instruments, and supplies based on the surgery schedule.
• Scrub for surgical procedures and assist with endoscopy cases.
• Communicate patient care information to patients, families, and team members.
• Adapt to rapid changes in patient volume, acuity, and resource availability.

Required profile

• Graduation from an accredited surgical technologist program or equivalent military program (online programs not accepted) OR 5 years of surgical technologist experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Required skills

• Expertise in sterile and aseptic techniques.
• Knowledge of human anatomy and surgical procedures.
• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication for interacting with patients and staff.
